Discovery PointM90 ....... M85 ...... On the way to Dundee, visit Rait Antiques, a group of shops well worth a browse are 17 miles from Tophead. The road to the shops is a sudden, sharp turn to the left after Melville's Garage.

Back on the A85, fifteen minutes will take you to Dundee. Discovery Point (pictured) - Open all year round - is an award winning centre. You will be able to walk through The Discovery - the ship Commander Scott used on his exploration of the Antarctic. It was launched in Dundee on 21st March 1901 and is now returned and has been carefully restored.

Verdant WorksVerdant Works (pictured right) - From Discovery Point visit Verdant works - a step back in time - and see and hear the story of Jute. You can buy a ticket at Discovery Point which also takes you into the Verdant Works, and parking at Discovery Point covers you for both places.

Leave Dundee on the A929 (Forfar Road). 7 miles then take A928 - 7 miles to Glamis. Glamis Castle - (open 10.30am - 5pm April to October) is a very famous old castle, probably the setting for Shakespeare's MacBeth.

Glamis Castle (pictured left) was the childhood home of the Queen Mother and the birthplace of Princess Margaret. Return to Perth by A94.
